CIS Tax Accountants | Pro Tax Accountant

The Construction Industry Scheme, commonly referred to as CIS, is a specific tax system in the United Kingdom, implemented by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC). This system applies primarily to the construction sector and covers a variety of construction-related tasks, such as site preparation, general construction, alterations, and repairs. Essentially, under the CIS, contractors must deduct money from a subcontractor's payments and pass it to HMRC. These deductions count as advance payments towards the subcontractor's tax and National Insurance.
