Discover the Roots of Yoga and Vedanta

Yoga is more than postures—it’s a way of life grounded in Hindu philosophy. The MA in Hindu Studies helps students uncover the roots of yoga, Vedanta, and spiritual science through primary sources and immersive practice.

The curriculum includes study of ancient texts, yogic scriptures, rituals, ethics, and metaphysical concepts that have shaped Eastern thought. Students examine these ideas as living traditions, not just theories.

With 12 courses and 36 credits, students first build a foundation and then dive into focused studies on yoga traditions, Vedanta, Sanskrit, or Indian aesthetics.

Graduates carry a deep understanding of Hindu philosophy and practice, prepared for careers in spiritual instruction, research, or cultural leadership.
