Despite the fact that display technology is constantly evolving, the designations 1080i and 1080p are more widely used in public. LED TV manufacturers in India have used cutting-edge technology to improve the quality of the information they display, yet such phrases are sometimes misunderstood. Both 1080i and 1080p feature a resolution of 1,920×1,080-pixels and even 2,073,600 pixels. So, where is the distinction? According to one point of view, 1080i is actually superior to Blu-ray. Because of the TV's 60Hz refresh rate, which also limits the greatest resolution that can be communicated over the air (due to bandwidth and MPEG compression), LED TV manufacturers in India have adopted two basic HDTV resolutions: 1080i and 720p.
