North Korean leader Kim Jong Un started a significant meeting with his country’s ruling party on Friday. This news came from the state media outlet, KCNA, on Saturday. The meeting happened a little more than a week after North Korea and Russia made a military defense agreement, which worried the United States.

The meeting, known as the 10th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, took place on Friday. During this gathering, five main topics were approved, although KCNA did not provide details about what these topics were.
